What kind of atheist are you? created with QuizFarm.com | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
You scored as Scientific Atheist These guys rule. I'm not one of them myself, although I play one online. They know the rules of debate, the Laws of Thermodynamics, and can explain evolution in fifty words or less. More concerned with how things ARE than how they should be, these are the people who will bring us into the future.

Hey Morse,
Always good to be talking to an American!
I agree with Aquinas who argued regarding the Euthyphro diemma that the moral law is an expression of God's nature.
Morality is not something God discovered because it is a reflectin of who He is. Nor is morality based upon the whim of God and therefore likely to change at any moment. Again, morality is an expression of God's character which is unchanging.
As an example ... the PRECEPT thou shalt not lie ... is based on the PRINCIPLE it is moral to be honest ... which is a reflectin of the PERSON OF GOD who is truth.
You say you've read the Bible and prefer your own morality. Of course, many of the people universally admired - Martin Luther King; Mother Teresa; William Wilberforce; John Newton and thousands more - read the Bible and devoted their lives to the Person they discovered therein. In each case, they attributed the good they did to the Person of Jesus.
I pray you discover him too.
